If you do the cortisone shot, you should still rest it for 4-6 wks, otherwise the cortisone can dull the pain and make you feel all is OK but it actually also weaknes the tendon and if you keep liftin heavy you could do more damage or even tear the tendon, got to suck it up and let it heal...
