Do you know how limited the chocies are? I'm taking a trip across Asia in about 2 months, and I was wondering the same thing. I know they have some good DBOL. Do you go to the pharmacy, vet, or doctor ?

You make a good point Nelson...the flag may be up, but if don't do anything wrong or in my case, cross the border in the near future...then there is nothing to worry about. I don't think the government is going come down on people who are simply inquiring about certain legal aspects.

Nah...after the call I admit I was, but then I realized that I am just inquiring about the law, thats all. All they can do at most is find out who I am, and watch to see if I cross the border and search me if I do cross.

Personally I didn't believe it...but there have been posts that have stated that you can claim vet gear at the border and go home safe...I just wanted to know if it was legal or just a mess up on the Customs Inspector on the line.

It did not go well. I first asked to speak to a U.S. Customs Official on the phone...when he took the call, I asked him to inform me on the legality of claiming veterinary steriods at the border. As soon as I asked that, he asked me who are they for ( I that point I was scared, I thought they...

Those are some awesome points RIKER! In esscense, I am really not going to go out and hit the bars...I am going to drive around, find what I need and try to get the hell out of there. I am especially nervous about those big "vendor" streets where traffic is bad, and people are walking...

So can anyone give me a comparision of TJ vs. Texas border towns....I hear lots of you guys saying its no problem, and you are probably talking about TJ. If TJ is ok for ya'll, I'm pretty sure Texas will be ok....right?

Are all of ya'll talking about TJ...or is anyone talking about a Texas border...I only ask cause TJ is a lot worse then the Texas side

Everyone here is talking about "gringos"...I'm Italian (I can pass for Mexican), and I speak some Spanish...and I will be crossing in Texas....hell, i'll never know until I try it :)

I was thinking of crossing at a Texas border site...and if you can make by yourself in TJ, then I'm pretty sure the Texas borders can't be much worse ! Thanks.
