Whether people like to acknowledge it or not, tonight marks the beginning of one of the most sacred pagan Sabbats, Samhain. It marks the end of summer, the time of the final harvests, a time to finalize preparations for the coming winter, and most importantly, a time to remember our dearly departed who are no longer with us. Amidst the revelry of parties and candy gorging, take a moment and give a thought (or a prayer) to those people (and animals) who are no longer physically in your life.

Now that I've given you the (true) spiritual message for the day, line up for 110% Karma hits

Oh very good, you know, in 20 words you just summed up every problem I've ever had with Christianity, seriously.

A very major thorn in my paw with organized religion is less the lack of correct information being accepted by the lazy masses who choose not to educate themselves and actually READ the scriptures and interpret the material for themselves, and take the true time to actually develop a personal relationship with the Divine, but who sheepishly accept the word of their "leaders" (who are every bit as ignorant as those they mislead), but more so the sanctimonious, self righteous hypocrites who feel they are superior to anyone whose theological beliefs do not fall in line with their personal dogma.

The workshop went wonderfully well and our Samhain ritual totally kicked ass. We used a Quaker's Peace Center, which is a really beautiful space that we will be holding other classes/workshops and rituals at in the future.

Technically Java SHOULD by all accounts, snicker at me as well as Christians. I'm not happy believing in just ONE god, I have to chant to whole fucking platoons of them!!! (plus spirit animals, plus ancestors, plus ascended masters, plus faeries plus elementals ...)
