I think that the point was to stop wasting money for people's decisions in life. If you choose to eat poorly, then I don't really want to fund anti-obesity drugs for you. If you choose to fuck randomly and without using protection, then I don't want to pay for your mistake.

I still believe any civilised society should have a minimum socialised healthcare system for its citizens though such as the British NHS which was working perfectly fine for decades post-war until an influx of hundreds of thousands of immigrants stressed it to breaking point & peoples' lifestyle choices also drastically took up resources, such as treating the explosion in cases of heart disease, hypercholesterolemia, high blood pressure, alcoholism, type 2 diabetes etc, or stateside the increased number of people acquiring AIDS from lifestyle choices.

Someone with cancer, a disabling injury, burn, viral / bacterial infection etc has the right to treatment without having to re-mortgage their home.

Well AIDS threatens one of those greatly. Sure its more prevalent among homosexual (and African Americans) but how could that be construed as an argument against solving the problem? I don't value either of those group's lives any more or less than any other population (except maybe convicted felons).

I think its safe to say that in basically every major city in the US, you can't walk for more than a mile without going by a place that will either give you condoms for free, or charge you the amount of a fast food meal for a months supply.

I read an article this morning that the AIDS rates among blaques in America is fast approaching Africa type levels...most of it being due to unprotected sex.

If you get AIDS through unprotected sex in America in this day and age, its nobodys fault but your own, and therefore you and I shouldnt have to pay for their reckless irresponsibility.
