As a current blackie, I was dismayed to learn about how horrible my blackness is according your Mormon bible.

If you are Mormon and as such are required to believe that the book of Mormon is literally the most accurate book on Earth, what do you think of me as a black person? Every Mormon I've ever asked what sets their book apart from regular bible and other religious text is that your book isn't like those other pieces of rubbish that can be interpreted differently but Mormon book is literal word of god.

Now the Book of Mormon gushes about the awesomeness and purity of being "white and delightsome" and that the reason there are black people is because dark skin is a curse from God. As a black person, I am somewhat concerned as to what your book writes of me. Since God punishes mischievous evil people by darkening their skin, I searched for a solution to get rid of my blackness in your book. fortunately, I can still be saved, all I have to do is believe in the mormon gospel and scales of darkness shall begin to fall and shall be a white and a delightsome people.

I am going to try my hardest to make my blackness fall away so I can become white and delightsome. Pray for me, and know that I will try to control the evil my skin color has brought onto my white and pure soul.

Nonsense, you don't know what those black babies are thinking in the womb?! pure evilness of course or they wouldn't have been born black regardless of their parent's skin color.

Not only are black babies are to be worried about but mixed babies aren't pure enough either and thus they are cursed too.

I dont know about this. I have a friend who is a devout Mormon, has been all her life. As well as her entire family. Her daughter married a very dark man from the Dominican Republic and they have 3 gorgeous children. He is as much as part of their family as any other, even though his skin is black as night. And his Mother from the Dominican even came to the states to stay for a few months and she's also black (obviously) and she stayed at my friends house for a month.

So, who knows if this is even true about Mormons hating blacks?

I dont know about this. I have a friend who is a devout Mormon, has been all her life. As well as her entire family. Her daughter married a very dark man from the Dominican Republic and they have 3 gorgeous children. He is as much as part of their family as any other, even though his skin is black as night. And his Mother from the Dominican even came to the states to stay for a few months and she's also black (obviously) and she stayed at my friends house for a month.

So, who knows if this is even true about Mormons hating blacks?

Most Mormons don't hate blackies and don't seem to be racists. However that doesn't change what the book writes about black people and there is A LOT of stuff about the cursed dark skinned people. To get rid of those parts would fuck up the whole book and undermine the entire Mormon faith.
