Reading keto strips

Yesterday I purchased my 1st keto strips. I was wondering where the ideal reading should be..That is, there are five or six differant colors on the reading chart. Light pink is a 5 medium pink is 40 and a deep almost purple is 180. I'm falling between light pink 4( trace) and a darker pink which is 20 (small amount). Sorry i sound like such a moron, but the directions are very unclear. If i'm in the trace/small are, theoretically i'm in ketosis.. but should i be in more of a ketonic state to get optimal results?

Truthfully, it doesn't really matter the color, as long as you are in 'Ketosis', you are loosing weight, no matter how deep the color is.

I've had negative readings on Day 10 in 'Ketosis', simply because ketones were mostly used up. (I had 3 carbs a day and no more, so negative readings never bothered me)
