PRE Workout Nutrition???

Alright guys,
Im a bit confused about pre work out nutrition. I am cutting right now and am doing my cardio in the morning on an empty stomach. I reason (as mentioned in another thread) that if I am going to eat 1 hour before working out I should consume a protein+fat meal. This way I will have a constant flow of protein to the muscles during the workout and will have increased energy from the fats. It actually seems that this would be optimal on most workout plans (but possibly adding carbs when bulking).

Please give me your thoughts and suggestions.
 
if you are doing high intensity cardio in the morning you need carbs beforehand

if low intensity it is a judgment call
 
My post is in regards to Pre Weight Workout Nutrition. In regards to pre HIIT training I heard from knowledgable brows that its ok on an empty stomach as long as protein and hi GI carb (whey+dextrose) are ingested after
 
I now have half a myoplex low carb bar w/ a pouch on tuna...........a little skim and some java..........does me good..............
