Which is the Best Sweetener for us bodybuilders?

Smokescreen

Experienced Noob
Platinum
Not only for our health but also in general. I keep reading bad shit about Splenda. So now I'm confused if I should ever use it again. Or use Stevia.

i've used both splenda and stevia for over 3 years and have noticed no adverse effect
both are sourced from natural resources
splenda from table sugar
and stevia from a plant

splenda is readily available and is popping up more frequently in the marketplace
stevia is very cost prohibitive and rarely added to most store bought items

it's up to you bud
i carry packages of both with me when i go out
and i use splenda for baking and cooking
and stevia for my ice tea
your pick

Yeah, but I'm reading a lot of bad shit from spleda. That it is NOT sugar derived. But a chlorine instead.

it is sourced from sugar
chlorine is involved in the process
can you site some of this bad evidence you have come across
as someone that has used it for many years i would like to see that
same was said about saccharine now it is regarded as safe again

I can't find it now. But all I did was type in Splenda in Google.

google is designed to go to sites similiar to the most recent sites in your cookies/history
if you were looking for bad you will find bad
use a real search engine
such as ixquick.com

I did a search and still found bad shit about splenda.

you will most likely find bad news about ANY sweetener out there.

Truth is, side effects will take decades to be observable and we are too early in the process to know for sure... in the meantime, all you see are commercial interests from both sides (manufacturers and the sugar Lobby) trying to Increase/keep their market share.

Probably the only sane advice you will hear is simply: use with moderation

What's interesting is that a lot of that bad info about Splenda was put out by Big Sugar Inc - Splenda's direct competition. Go figure.
