Questions about North Korea

i would like to hear some answers to the following questions:

When Iraq began percolating out there, the world said: "You must go to the UN. You can't do this unilaterally." So why isn't that happening with North Korea?

Why don't we ask South Korea if they want us here or not, because if they want us out we'll scram?

Why don't we tell Europe, "We'll take care of Iraq, you guys handle North Korea"?

Shouldn't China, Russia, Japan and South Korea resolve this themselves?

Does Jimmy Carter get to keep his Nobel Peace Prize after all of this? Carter, Kofi Annan and the Nobel Peace Prize committee are nowhere to be found.

Why does the media keep consulting the Clinton administration "experts" who got us into this mess in the first place?

Finally: Why will the world not let us wash our hands of this? Why is the world demanding that we alone, the United States and George W. Bush, fix this?

SOuth Koreans dont deserve that any civilized nations fix this mess for them. Look we did it 50 years ago and most of them today are against the US occupation. South Korea has nothing to offer. Back during the Korean war, stopping the commie progression was top priority. Now none of these countries has anything to offer. Screw them.

The North Koreans ahve been starving to death for several years now. THe CHinese will not support them against the US this time. Forget 'em, they are NOT a threat.

They are trying REAL hard to be considered "big and scary" but they are failing.

The world doesn't give a rat's ass abot N Korea.

The world (and the UN) does not want the US acting againt Iraq for many reasons.

1. The UN wants all military action in the world to only happen with their blessing....all to boost their acceptance as a true global authority. If the USA goes into Iraq and solves the problem without the UN, they will look stupid.

2. The world wants Saddam in power. He supports terrorism and the UN has declared terrorism a legitimate form of warfare (otherwise, the PLO would have been condemned long ago for their attacks against Israel). If Saddam goes down, one of the last open suppliers of terrorist activity in that region is taken out.

3. N Korea really doesn't do anything for anyone to have the UN fighting to hold back their being dealt with by the USA. That, and the UN is a bunch of whimps, so they really rather have the USA solve this problem for them....they just won't admit to that.

probably because Iraq is tied into the UN. Iraq lost the gulf war, and were forced to sign a treaty under UN guidelines. So, in a way, Iraq is the UN's bitch. N. Korea, on the other hand, has not done anything to make itself subject to UN sanctions/inspections/control, so USA doesn't have to go through the UN to deal with N. Korea. If N. Korea gets tied into the UN & violates about 40 resolutions, then N. Korea will become the UNs problem. Until then they are their own coutnry.
