its not about quantity but quality of life, plus i am getting bored with this world anyways and need to see whats on the other side

I dont believe you have to take a pill, eternal life is real. Now if your talking about live for ever in this body, in this "realm," - no way! First of all, it'd suck when matter either expands so much that solids cease to exist or, if matter colapses, well that'd suck too. Besides, I'd rather go on to bigger and better things.

Oh, and this belongs on the chat board. :)

I find that magic pill impossible but i certainly believe our bodies are capable of living healthy lives well over 100 yrs if we can unlock more secrets to our health and what makes us ill.

Earth is doomed no matter what and I'm too attached to life on earth to spend it on some spaceship or watch it die!

I once heard that when Olypic athletes were asked, if you could take a pill that had a 70% chance of killing you but if it didn't kill you it would improve your performance greatly, not even a guaranteed Gold but just a marked improvement, most of them said thery would take it. It was an argument that you can never get rid of doping.

As far as the pill, I would have to know a few more things first, like would my development be arrested, could I pick any age to be frozen at, could my muscles still get bigger? Imagine knowing you were immortal, you could take all the gear you wanted and be Mr. Olympia forever.

I gotta warn you guys about that "pill to live forever" thing. In 224 B. C. I was a goat herder in Plecadonia, a small mountain area that is now part of Greece. One day while I was out tending my flock this wierd skinny guy with a ratty gray cloak came up to me. I couldn't really see what he looked like 'cuz he had the hood pulled over his head. Well, one skinny boney hand comes poking out of his cloak and he is holding this little vial of elixir. What's that I ask (as though I would want anything from his skinny ratty ass) and he tells me in a croaky voice, "This is the elixir of eternal life. Drink it and you will have youth forever." Well, the wierdo wanted to trade it to me for my flock. Finally I talked him down to one goat. (I figured I could trade the elixir to my friend Ernie for some cool stuff later.) The guy turns and is leaving and as he is going he turns back and says, "Learn through life that living is a blessing and a curse." Well, I didn't know exactly what he meant by that but I figured maybe he meant this elixir stuff really worked so I decided to swig it right there. Nothing much really happened for the first 50 or so years. Then all the people in my villiage started getting wierd. You know. Asking questions like "Why are we aging and you don't?" and saying stuff like, "You were a young man when I was a boy and now you are a young man when I am old and gray." Well we all knew it wasn't going to be too long before somebody shouted "Witch!" And sure enough somebody did. Well they started to stone me and chase me out of the villiage with pitch forks. Fortunately I was young and fast and they were all old and feeble so I could run fast. I spent the next two thousand or so years wandering from country to country - never really staying in one spot long enough for people to see that I didn't age - amassing wealth - knowledge - knowing the great minds of our time. All in all it has been pretty cool, but it has been a total bitch to watch everybody you know grow old and croak. And sometimes, truthfully I miss the good old days out herding my goats when we used to stone people for being retards and stuff.

My answer would be No... Simply because i have stretch marks that I hate, and im hoping that when i come back next time i'll know to use Cocoa Butter and Retin-A before they happen... And because im sure it would get awful boring after 700 years.

i garuntee if anyone in here took a pill with those effects would later regret it when they have been alive for too long. sounds like a good concept but if you think about it, its a scary thing to know youll be around forever.....

That's a very important question you asked Decadense!

For about the first 1,900 years my gains were non existant. Then, in the 1940s I started experimenting with the first testosterones that were being given to the German soldiers. Then in the early '60s D-bol and Deca let me make even more gains. Parabolin was another step up in the '80s. And in the early '90s when GH and slin came on the scene I definitely went up a few more solid pounds... so all in all I would say I have made more gains in the last 30 years than in all of the two thousand years before that. Anabolic steroids, 'slin, and GH have definitely brought us great advancement.

I am already a cross between Groundhog Day and Highlander. I've lived an unnecessarily hard life and haven't offed myself despite being an idiot so I'll try it without the pill. Besides, man is doing his damndest to use this little rock up. Our future is fucked for sure. You'd be the only person sitting on an uninhabitable stone.

Mortality is probably the most underrated motivating factor in existence. If we were to live forever, then we would have no inclination to do anything in the present. It would be "oh, I can do it in a decade or so". People have a hard enough time getting motivated as it is. If you put no experietion date on ourselves the we would have more and even lazier people than we do already. Now if this pill guarentees we would only die of old age, then that's a different story.

i would take it... the most motivating factor would be ASS and knowing you aren't gonna get old and die.. I just wonder if I would be able to get it up after the first 1000 years or so.. Stockpile viagra! I'll have a flock of girls and grow them to be my servants YEAH BABY!
 
This reminds me of the Movie Interview with a Vampire when Lestat ask Louis if he would like to live forever with no pain and never grow old. Of course He regreted it later. I would do it if I had the powers of a Vampire and could also Die whenever I wanted.
 
i wonder if your brain matures, like when your a kid you enjoy playing with toys and what not,,then u get older and forget the toys and do other stuff like go out ,but then going out and living the single lifestly might get played out and you'll wanna get married ,,,your married,,then you get old and your just a boreing fuck,,,,im assuming you would have done everything 100 times over and everything will be a boreing after a while

It'll probably be great for the first 20-30 years though....so my answer is no
 
hmmm live forever, live through nuclear war--- starve--- if i make it through that maybe watch the destruction of earth once the next ice age hits or meteor comes down---- AND if i live through that get to be burned alive once the sun blows up to a red giant...
