I recently started training bis and tris on the same day and thought that a good way to end the workout would be to do a superset with BB curls and tri extensions. I got a good pump, but will it really help?

I'm a fan of supersets. I like throwing them in every once and awhile.

I've recently started supersets for bis and tris. I do a tricep exercise, then go to a bicep exercise immediately, then rest. I love it. I've put close to a 1/2 inch on my arms in a little over a month. I do 3 sets for 3 different exercises of each muscle.

best thing I ever did!!! the old back/bi's and chest/tri's routine pales in comparison to super setting bi' and tri's. My arms went from 16.5 up to 18.5. I got up to 274 now i am down to 225 and still maintain 17.5.

Supersets kick ass but like someone said you don't want to over do them. Supersets are when you do a set for one bodypart and immediately follow it with a set for a different bodypart. Say for instance you do a set of bench presses and follow it with a set of chins or a biceps curls followed by triceps pulldowns. Bi's and Tri's kick ass but my favorite is Chest and Back.

HELLO! new boy...supersets simply are working the bicep muscles with the triceps muscles either in the same day or set after set...gets an incredible pump and is worth the pain it can inflict!!!!!!!

But is it possible to work heavy and hard with a chest and back superset? I know theoretically it is.
