Does anyone know where I can find a good HIT training routine. I read the FAQ at Cyberpump and I think I want to try it. Thanks, Tracy

Tracy,

HIT works but it is easy to injure yourself, the most important aspect of Jone's High Intensity Training is harnesing the proper mental attitude and violent intesity to go 110% to total mental/physical failure for 1 or 2 sets per body part. Not an easy thing to do.Try it for 2 or 3 weeks then go back to your normal routine.

Tracy, HIT is very safe and effective. Go to www.mikementzer.com. Its all in there. I encourage you to order Mike Mentzer's book "Heavy Duty." After this book you will realize this is the safest/most effective method.

Mike Mentzer tries to brain wash people into thinking HIT is the only way to train.

Tracy, I have that book and will send it to you free of charge.I also have many article's by Aurther Jones the Godfather of HIT,I'm of the Charles Poliquin school of training his teaching are more solid and would befit you more.

Mike Mentzer does a lot of good. I don't think he does any brain washing. People come to him for advice and help...people like Dorian Yates.

It is interesting though how HIT seems to engender a certain, dare I say, fanatasicm. I guess this is where the 'brainwashing' accusations come from. Sort of like people on the diet board that will tell you that ketogenic diets are the ONLY way to diet......

HIT is a tool that works exceptionally well for some people, very poorly for others, and yet other people (such as myself) see HIT as valuable to occassionally shake things up a bit and shock the body out of a training plateau. I cannot make continual gains on HIT (or any other single training method). Like I would advise for ketogenic diets, you'll never know until you try it. If it works, great. If it doesn't (after a fair trial) then leave it for another time.
