do you think it is good idea to take glutamine with empty stomach?
or it really doesnt matter.

If you dont have stomach problems, use on an empty stomach, increase absorbtion rates. If you have intestinal, gastric, or stomach problems take with a meal or snack.

yes, it is always best to comsume glutamine on an empty stomach; because it has 100% concentrated absorption.

I have also found that if I add around 2g to each serving of protein powder that I take in the day, it helps some with the protein synthesis.

try glutamine peptides, it's better and more absorbable than L-glutamine. And yes take on empty stomach,
