Has anyone tried this!!!! diet for normal people, not those on sauce, FOOD COMBINING

Its a hybrid diet that incorporates variuos theories of food combining.

the theory hold that at any given time the body ideally assimilates meal that are comprised of specific food groups.

3 main things happen,
1)you use the food you eat very effeciently, and
2)all fuels eg. fats or carbs will be used by the body completly, thus not storing any of it as fat.
3) eating foods seperatly , carbs by themselves, and protiens with fats and fiber, insures a natural safgaurd against many modern digestive ills, plus not stressing the body out by confusing it with too many foods.

here is a sample diet day



4 meals


meal one

2 cups of plain oatmeal with a very ripe banana, and cinimon


meal two

2-3 cans of tuna, with olive oil and lots of greens


meal three

2-3 serving of cttage cheese, with blue fruit ( or meal one)


meal four

large piece of red meat, with olive oil and lots of greens


this diet insures maximum use of foods eaten, little stress on the digestive system, and a less likely hood of stroing foods as fat.


the idea of not mixing carbs with fat came from this idea,

now for those who sauce, you would obviuosly have differing needs, ( eatiing protien with evry meal)

but for those who are not, this should work

that's not possible, NOT all foods can be used by the body and NOT all foods will not be stored as fat

carbs by themselfs, I think thta's a pretty bad idea...I would say there would be a much slower digestion process if you add protein and/or fiber +fat

why 4 meals, I mean is there scientific evidence that 4 meals as opposed to 6 has more benefit

little stress? red meat will give you some stress I would say A LOT of stress. who cares about the stress on the digestive system, this is going too in-dept for something so simple. Most people will NEVER experience digestive problems in their whole life

WHY IS THIS SO HARD FOR PEOPLE TO UNDERSTAND!? JUICE OR NOT, YOU STILL HAVE TO EAT PROTEIN IF YOU TRAIN, IN ORDER TO RECOVER PROPERLY! JUICE OR NOT, IT DOESN'T MATTER. I KNOW PEOPLE THAT JUICE AND DO 50%PROTEIN/30%CARBS/20% AND I KNOW "NON-JUICERS" WHO DO 50/30/20, I MEAN COME ON....IT'S SUCH A MYTH THAT YOUR EATING HABBITS CHANGE BECAUSE YOU "JUICE".

He's not qualified, the man writes about CONSTIPATION AND HYGIENE! He doesn't write about diets for weight lifters or athletes.

I mean COME ON:the stuff he writes is all "theory" nothing w/ proof

.... of course, it was an honourary doctorate. He got it because he's a celebrity, and one of the few who manage their own finances.

I manage my own finances too, doesn't mean I'm remotely competent in accounting.

Just like my uncle has a PhD in theology. He could write a book about bodybuilding, even though he's never been in a gym or never watched what he ate. He could call it "Bodybuilding: The truth" by Timothy J. Finney PhD. But he doesn't know the first thing.

Anyway, we get the point.

If you're going to play with food combining, stick to "Natural Hygiene" or the "Fit for Life" plan.

Neither would suggest eating fruit (highly digestible) with cottage cheese (dairy product that causes mucous). THAT would stress the digestive system. Proper, traditional food combining has fruit eaten alone during the elimination cycle.

Nor would tradition food combining recommend eating it right after a meat meal (tuna).

Juicing or not, what you've got there isn't food combining. If really interested, read the Fit for Life series for information. Traditional food combining recommends just fruit and water in the morning, and absolutely NO dairy products whatsoever. So, if that's a menu from a book about "Food Combining" then it's not a book about food combining.

GREAT diet for losing weight where the object is to be thin. I lost about 30 pounds on it in about 6 weeks. Utter SHIT for building muscle. Also, the constant food preparation wore down the nerves. However, a "just fruit" breakfast and then several meat & green veggie meals per day (no carbs at all, except perhaps a load or two a week including NO meat), might work for bber's. Personally, I can't stand fruit. Make mine coffee, thanks!

This is as much a waste of board space as your last diet idea. Where do you come up with this crap? :rolleyes:

BTW, if you follow either of these diets, the only way that you are "270" is if you're 8 feet tall. I call bullshit.

C'mon man, you seem like a relatively intelligent guy. There's no way you can reach 270 eating the diets you have advocated on here. I'm 265 and I have had to shovel down ><6000 cals/day to get here. It makes no sense.
 
BTW, the sauce comment also bugs me. Like Mr.X said, your diet doesn't change simply because you're on cycle. People that do that are also the people that bloat up 20 lbs on cycle, then crash and lose 25 lbs.

Food combining theory is complete BS that goes against what we know about digestion. Studies that have compared food combining with mixed diets found no advantage to food combining, a theory that was made popular by the worthless book Fit for Life and others.
