Hello all,
I was searching the forums looking for someone a similar situation but couldnt find any so i figured i register and ask...ok here it goes:
Im 25 and have done a 3 cycles in the past and got great results... worked out solid for a 2 years was around 210, BF around 9%, benching 315x3, squating 500x3 and deads were 405x3 and then i ran into personal problems fiance left took the kid. I got depressed, started parting nonstop forgot what a gym was for awhile...about 9 mounths:( Now my life is back together and got back on the diet and hit the gym....stepped on the scale 228 ouch!! Looked in the mirror even worse....then i hit the bench and 225 doesnt even seem possible anymore let alone 315... but now for the question i am the fatest i ever been and the weakest ive been in a long while. i was gonna do a cutting cycle for the summer but now im not sure. You think i should i hold off for a biit and go all natural? or hit up a strength cycle right away since im already fat, instead off shedding it all then putting it back on for a bulking cycle......any thoughts would be geat.
thanks in advance

im srry think i posted in the wrong forum:( doh!

I wouldn't touch the sauce until you've managed to get your training and diet back under control. I'd suggest re-evaluating your position in another six months.

The last thing you need is a surge in muscle strength while your tendons are totally unaccustomed to the extra load. With muscle memory thrown in, gear would be a big risk. Spend the time to get used to the lifts and the lifestyle again.

If you're looking for a routine or just some general ideas for getting yourself back under way with your training, you could do worse than spend some time reading around on here:

The Intermediate 5x5 might be just what you need. A few guys are running logs in this forum on that program.

actually i think that at after a long break, you could even try milking a beginner's program like the ripettoe 3x5 in the training sticky. maybe for 2-3 mths.

lol @ powerlifter's programs. they are strength programs for athletes - as in football players.... i thought you claimed to be a football player!

Maybe if football were that game with the hoops at either end.

Anyway, this one seems to be drifting off-topic, too.
