burgerking vs. mcdonalds

Flame broiled whopper. Although I rarely eat at either place. I think the grilled chicken is better at BK as well.

Great. Now I have a craving for a Whopper.

which fast food company makes the better burgers in your opinion? This includes the chicken sandwhiches too.

Sherman doesn't eat fastfood and neither should you......

That's like asking "which tastes better, the garbage from trashcan "A" or trashcan "B"?

What about the grilled chicken?

I don't touch fast food anymore bro. I used to eat the hell out of it when I was younger, but I can't touch it now w/o it making me deathly ill. Honestly, neither Mickey D's nor BK even appeal to me anymore. The only "fast food" I can tolerate is Penn Station, and I have that maybe once a month.

Besides, since I went back to training seriously, I'm keeping my diet pretty much in check. Even when I cut loose, I still keep it pretty clean.

I need to get back eating like that. DO you cook everything? What does your diet consist of ?

Actually, I love to cook. (I just hate doing dishes lol)

My diet is pretty damned boring, but it's lopped 30+ lbs off me since the 1st week of Feb., and I've maintained my muscle and actually improved a few lifts in the process...guess I must be doing something right.

In a nutshell...tuna, tuna, and more tuna (sammiches on whole weat), an occasional ground beef patty or two or some chicken breast for variety a couple times a a month (seriously burnt out on chicken), I get about 75 grams worth of protein a day from 2 shakes, some mixed veggies (frozen and canned), then there's oatmeal with ground flax seed and usually one apple a day. Throw in an occasional "cheat" PB on whole weat bread sammich and you have it.

Doesn't sound particularly exciting, but it works for me.

I ate so much tuna that I burned out on it. I use to put sunflower seeds in it. You're not eating many complex carbs I noticed. Except for the oatmeal. I eat it raw every morning for breakfast. Mix it with Raison bran cereal. Oh, the whole wheat bread. Duh, I forgot. More complex carbs.

It doesn't seem to matter what I eat, lots of fat or low fat, my weight stays about the same. Except that mexican food might be clogging my arteries.

Definitely Burger King, even though neither is anything to write home about.

......kind of like that overpriced Hawaiin milk you are stuck with.....

I'm like that with chicken...even the smell of it is enough to trigger my gag reflex now.

I mix my tuna with a little lowfat miracle whip and a spoonfull of sweet relish and it masks the taste well enough for me to choke it down. Strangely enough, I seem to be getting used to it, it doesn't bother me as much as it did before.

Since I'm trying to get rid of my extra flub, I'm keeping carbs down to a bare minimum. I'm not really counting the #'s, just watching what I eat and noting how much energy I have for cardio or lifting.

My exogenous simple carbs come from a little sugar in my morning coffee (tried splenda, YUCK!...willing to make that one sacrifice) and a spoonfull of pure fruit preserves on my oatmeal/flax to help make it edible.

Told ya I eat boring :D

It works though. I use to eat nearly perfect too. I just don't take the time anymore. I still eat much healthier than the average person though. 30 lbs in less than 3 months, the natural way. That's awesome.

Thanks. It isn't easy, but as the old saying goes, if it was easy, everyone would be doing it. :)

I miss carbs, and I don't really do the "carb-up" thing as it tends to cause me to have unbearable cravings for even more carbs. Once I finish peeling off the weight I want to drop, I'll gradually start adding in more complex carbs. My energy levels suffer pretty bad (makes doing cardio a real treat! :( ) and I look kinda "flat", but that's life. I'm the one who let myself get out of shape to begin with, so I'm the one who has to pay the price to get back IN shape.

if you eat tuna sandwiches, you could spice it up by boiling eggs and putting the eggwhites in it and salt and pepper and maybe the lowfat mayo. have some tuna salad, its just another way to eat tuna:)

For some reason, boiled eggs don't agree with me. It's a "I like them, but they don't like me" kinda thing. I can eat them scrambled (yum!) now & then, but I still haf'ta be careful I don't overdo it. :worried: (besides, I haf'ta keep peace with the GF, and she doesn't appreciate it very much when I spend the day tooting the rump trumpet)

All those years of junk food (esp. Taco Hell) must've done some damage, `cause I sure can't eat the same things I used to. :chomp:

Doesn't help though, people will always be eating McD's and BK.....

LOL. That is very considerate of him. He must hold it in until he's about to burst, waiting for a chance to sneak away and let it out slowly and he probably has stragically placed air freshner cans everywhere. That's my worry about being around a woman all day. I'll definitely have to cut back on the protein. I've noticed that since I quit eating protein bars and taking protein powder over the past few weeks, I rarely ever toot. When I take that stuff, it's all day long. Can't be good for you.

McDonald's for breakfast, BK for everything else. :chomp:

I prefer crisco straight out the can....and oreo cookie insides with bacon grease on a nice light buttery cracker.
