Why do people duck when running from the rain?

They sorta crouch down and run as if they`re avoiding some drops. It`s not like they`re not getting wet. wtf?

Natural reaction to protect ones head from anything, including the rain. Can lead to a common cold or influenza. Or maybe it just messes up your hair.

I usually try to keep my glasses from getting wet if I am wearing them. It's a bitch having drops of water in front of your eyes. I had never really thought about why I duck. It doesn't keep you any drier. I suppose it's just a natural instinct to tuck and run.
