Any reasne I lost karmic Power without ever being bombed? Maybe George could read this as well?

Couple probelms here that don't make sense Mr. Spellwin. I jumped 2000 pots just for rejoining platinium. Tnanx and all, but I think number of posts should hopefully help point newbs in the direction of those who seem to have more expeience. I didn't desreve the extra 2000 out of nowhere for that. And my Karmic Power was 93 and now it's 82 for some reason and I never once got bombed by anyone? now granted both t of these are a ot of bells and whistles next one's name, but at least for the most part I got Karma for trying to give solid advice. Even the little title unfer my name disapeared when I rejoined platinum for some rason. (no big deal) Lots of bugs in this sytem here at EF I must say though. And need I mention the inadverntant advertising (just a few clicks starting from a banner) her at EF of a person who bottled fake shit and robbed mad people? I thinks it's seriously time to fix the kinks and straightrn some things out round here. Now don't get me wrong, I love EF. But I love the U.S. too, bit it nees a lot of changing also.

I believe as your post count goes up your karmic power may go down...
 
The calculation to get your 82 or 93 has changed. That explains the 82, new formula.

What you do need to know about the changes is that when you give Green K now, it will come out of your own K. You will be giving your own K to give a K hit. Red hits are as they were.

yup...the gentlmen is correct...just tried it....and it came out my own k.
 
Yeah i just read my PM from George about the rule. Here's the overall translation: all of a suden, George cares about karma whoring. The way it is now, if yoy give georege even more of your money and get a chairman mmebership, you don't lose your own karma when givin it. I could really care less about karma I guess really. But let's call a spade a spade here, If you give George more money and get a chairman memebership, then you needn't worry about much of anything. I love the baord and give enough enough money as it is for a Platininum Memebership. Sorry geoerge, you're not gettin any more of my money. Now hopefully I'll still have an account when I try to log in again later tonight. Uncle Sam and Televangelists are everywhere.
 
I think there should be some sort of loyalty karma. loyalty is very rare these days and unappreciated. like 10,000k for each year you been a member and for each anniversery.

Especially since every now and then you get a new guy come in who makes a hundred "attactive" posts the first month he's here. They can end up with more karma than some of the more experienced guys on here in during time.

Like a lot of you guys, I don't care about karma. But I think it would be more useful if it more accurately represented the "experienced" members of the board.

ya all the k inflation from c&c should be re-distributed to senior members on the anabolic board. we're the big drawing card, after all

I agree, especially with the second paragraph.
 
I think what will happen is people will whore more karma if they lose it for giving it out. Instead I think you should get 1/10th of your karma for giving some. For instance if you have Karma power 20, you give 20, you get 2 added, not 20 subtracted. That would encourage more people to give karma. Also this would benefit the more expereinced posters since it wouldent do anything until you reached 10K karma points, which is a good number for when a person really becomes part of the community.

On the other hand maybe it makes sense that if you bomb somebody or give them negative karma, this gets subtracted from your karma. So you really have to be pissed off for it to be worth it.
 
Fuck karma anymore. It's valueless at this point. Time to go back to the old when you just go on the advice people add on a daily basis and by how long guys have been around. Beyond it the whole Karma/Plat/Chairman deal is just all about money now. The almighty dollar reaigns supreme.
 
hmmm... so after some time a situation could arise in which the only guys with green k should be the chairmen (assuming you give green k to folks for good posts AND assuming the chairmen don't give any)

Take a look at the board. There are more platinum members in the womens section and the C&C section then there are in the AAS forum. Those two are where the money is made. The AAS forum actually costs GS more due to the liability.
 
I like the old system better. It allowed for more fun.
I have donate hundreds of thousands of K to help people out.
I would also routinely use all my k donations allotted on a daily basis encouraging people.
The good will and community environment has been removed from the karma system now.
In regards to trying to award karma to members who have the most knowledge... it will never happen. It would be great if it would but the system is even more flawed now.
If you want good advice all you have to do is read. When you see a great contribution in a thread follow that persons posts. If you are continually impressed by what they have to offer you can PM them.
If the person choses they can assist you in any way they can. When they can't help you they can direct you to someone they believe can.
That is the only way to be safe when it comes to getting advice.
You never know if some 15 y/o kid is just regurgitating information from another board. It could be information that is false.
All we can do is listen and research. We are dealing with our health.

Couldn't agree more - seriously, if a newbie (hate that term) comes here, he/she could literally find EVERYTHING he/she needed just by going Plat and using the "Search Function".

Doing thorough serches before "ever" posting is crucial. You need to know that your question is unique, as well as going through the Post History of people who answer your post.

try paying members of the site ..you have been here for 5 years and still are not a plat member .....if more of the freeloaders would sign up and support this place maybe GS would not be trying to stick it to us on the karma

My take is that George has to make the business viable financially and the Karma introduction was a certainly a solid business plan BUT needs a lot of management to be kept ''under control''

The downside is that i have seen more posts and drama created by Karma disputes and questions in the AAS section than was caused by even the most prolific scammers (Coolhandluke, Apeman, Satch, Hulkster etc etc etc).

Just says something about the direction the board is being dragged by this Karma.

IMHO scrap it and go back to basics. As the board is expensive to run then it will have to be worked on and with

Wrongun!

i just want to let you all know i am not going to get upset by this or hold a grudge. everything was kind of in jest i do not take this k stuff too seriously. its kind of an interesting online phenomena, though.

I wish it was just as simple as post count that could help a newbie determine if someone has more/less experiance. Too bad it does not, just go to C&C and you'll see a good number of members with 20k-30k-40k posts, just means they like to post a lot. I've spent time in C&C but I always come back to the AAS board as my main board of interest. The new formula dropped my K Power too. Big deal, now I can give less to people that I believe deserve it or make me laugh a whole bunch.

Oh and you can change your title under your name it is in your profile somewhere I'll find it and let you know how to do it.
 
Yep found it, just go to your Quick Links, click on Edit Profile and it is there under "Custom User Title" you can type anything in there and it will become your new title.
 
I dont really care about karma either, it is nice to have but i gambled mine away betting on football last season. :p
As far as posts goes i agree its hard to tell somtimes, I dont even know what c and c stands for lol, only place i ever been or posted was here, but i see people that have been members 4 months with 8000 posts..... owell nothing we can do... :worried:
