Oh and my weight went from 182-216lbs in those pics if you where wondering. Also I'm 6' 5". (Nearly 5 months of work)

Both. Bigger and fatter, but that's fine. At your stage you need those extra calories to burn as a primary source of energy and protect/preserve the new muscle lean mass. Just be careful to have good quality calories during the day, not just fast food or junk. Also keep a good workout routine, watch your excercises for chest, specially upper pecs.

Good job bro. And good job on the trucker tan that is almost gone.

No, that was done naturally. I'm not sure about gyno but my chest is f'ed but anyways so it's not really my concern at this point.

I'm pretty sure at my stage I should continue bulking although a lot slower then I was.

Right now I'm going for all out strength gains, but I don't want to so fat that I have trouble in other things that I do like brisk walking or such.

Either way I'll pay attention to my diet and continue bulking but much cleaner then before, I'll probably cut sometime later next year.

Yep, both.

What are your numbers like now in the basic lifts?

Frankly, I'm surprised you gained as much fat as you did. It's hard for skinny dues to even gain ANY weight, let alone fat while training hard and heavy.

You ARE training hard and heavy, right? Post the numbers. How long are your workouts? You know, just post up your whole damn routinew. Fuck it.

and pics of your wife/girlfriend.

and your friends' gf's pics while you're at it.

You're getting there. It takes time for us tall guys. It will all come in time. The good part about being tall is being able to carry 300 pounds on your frame. That could also be bad...

Okay since you asked, I'll post everything you asked for. (Except the gf part since I don't really have anything stable right now)

First My routine: Rippetoes 3x5: Alternating between workout a and b, 3 workouts per week. 3 Sets of 5 per lift.

Workout A: Squats, Bench, Deadlift
Workout B: Squats, Military Press, Barbell Rows.

I'm now adding in Pullups, Dips and Ab work but wasn't doing that till like 5 days ago. As for workout time they usually take me about an hour since I warm-up for 15 minitues and it takes awhile to do the actual lifts, I have been there for up to 1 1/2 hours though with the added accessory work.

As for how much I've gained since I started 5 months ago. (5 rep max)

Bench - 95-150lbs
Military Press - 60lbs-95lbs
Deadlift - 75lbs - 225lbs
Squats - 75lbs - 195lbs
Barbell Rows - 75lbs - 185lbs

Anyways I went from 182lbs - 216lbs and I am 6' 5", really the main reason I gained so much weight is because I was eating 6,000 Calories a day until the beginning of this month (So over 4 months eating 6,000 calories a day). Now I cut the cals down to 4,500/day and am hoping thats enough to keep gaining muscle but not so much fat.

And yeah, I know it takes time for us tall guys but as long as I'm pretty strong by the end of next year I'll be happy although I'm probably never going to stop trying to get better, so by the time I'm 30 I should be huge. (I'm 19 right now)

Anyways if you have any more questions please ask, I actually put on some fat on purpose because I have a theory that somewhat fat people gain muscle faster...

heres a relaxed shot since some people are saying I look like a fatty and I want to give them a better one to compare.

Good work! As long as you're gaining strength and size, I wouldn't worry too much about the fat gain right now. You did the right thing with cutting back calories and gauging the fat from here on out.

Keep it up. I don't know 'rippedtoe's" workout, but if it gets stale, you may want to mix things up. You MAY be not doing enoguh volume. I don't know the intensity of the program, so it might be enough, but you MAY still need more volume. The beginning is always easy, but when you hit that first or second stickking point is when you need to really tweak the routine and give it your all both physically and in workout/diet design.

Good luck! There are so many beginners that don't gain 10 pounds in that amount of time. You're doing great.

Yeah, I am seriously thinking about doing more volume since I'm not sure if I'm doing enough in some lifts, on the other hand everything's still progressing okay and I want to keep going at a smooth rate for as long as possible.

Either way if I stall I will tweak my workout so that I start advancing again.
