Hey chopz, just starting Batman. I just broke out of the chair in the beginning. My dumb ass bought the Collectors edition. Got some good extra DLable content.

if it were only that simple... i'm unfortunately one of the aging that were optimistic, then became realist, and now finally cynical... it's not pretty, but although i can help some, the real issue is people often know how and what to change but are unwilling to do so..

With accidents we can only offer to do our best, to do the things that others refuse to do and to take care of ourselves and fellow firefighters/medics....

In minnesota the FD is the 1st responder on 90% of all calls... so we get the "i've fallen and can't get up, suicides, car accidents..

we are a small dept 70 calls per month is average.. it's volunteer but we get paid on the calls we go to... 1/2 of our salary is put to a retirement fund... works out to about $22 hr..

but the fellowship is the reason i'm doing it..

I for one , am very glad you volunteer your time and effort to assist , because if my home were on fire , I would want someone to respond. I think you should be paid $100.00 an hour and have free medical for your family and a free retirement for giving so much and putting your life on the LINE every day!!!

Ditto. Well Said. It takes a brave(or crazy) person to be one of the few that run into a burning house/car, or dive into flood waters for people, for a living (even if it is volunteer)

Called In sick today. Needed a mental break and just a day of doing nothing. I figured better than doing it tomorrow.

I hate going in the next day. I will have to play it as im still sick or not myself for a friday.
