Surgeons near Corpus Christi, Texas?

Does anyone know of any doctors/surgeons around the Corpus Christi, Texas area that will help with gyno surgery and having it covered by insurance? I've had it since puberty and really want to pursue getting surgery. I contaced on plastic surgeon here and they wanted $6300 for gland removal and liposuction. What's the best way to approach a doctor about this? Is it better to go straight to a regular doctor first before seeing a plastic or general surgeon? I'd really love to have it covered by my insurance somehow.
