Why is "Christian Bale" such a highly underrated actor?????

Just watch "Harsh Times" the other day and it dawned on me.

His movies almost never do well and alot of times they seem to go almost straight to dvd.

A prime example was the machinist...great movie that did horrible.

Velvett..have you ever seen "Empire of the Sun"?? Awesome movie..he's really young in it though.

i imagine part of it is bad advertising, because ive never heard of any of the movies y'all are talking about except for batman

Bad title for the masses too - it offered little draw to get people to go which is too bad because the core message was powerful.

It was painful to watch at times, no?

The Prestige was awesome.

The Prestige was great....one of the best movies I've seen in a while.

Machinist was awesome, but I don't see a lot of people having the attentionspan to follow it.

one of my favorite actors...plus he has a mole on his nose in exactly the same place that I do....crazy.
