Why aren't women visually aroused like men?

Look at how pornography is geared toward men. Very few women find porn as arousing as men, even when it is geared to their tastes (i.e. Playgirl Magazine).

Also, me (and a lot of my buddies) prefer to have sex with the lights on (if the chick is hot) while most women I've met like to do it in the dark.

Why?
 
I disagree with this. Statistic - 50% of porn video tapes are rented by... you guessed it... WOMEN. That was a stat I never would have guessed or believed.

Secondly, women definitely get off on watching guys/girls just the same way guys do.

I think the real difference is the cultural acceptability of saying "Wow! I want that."

Most women I have known enjoy sex just as much as me. They are open about their sexuallity and what they want. However that does come with maturity. By the time she is in her late 20's or early 30's most women are in tune with their bodies and what they desire from sex.

umm they are they just don't talk about it like we do. my older sister once talked about what they would she would do to a guy that she found to be really good looking. :sick: my friend's sister was the same way. I clearly stated that I didn't want to hear any of it.

That is usually because of the "performance" factor. Hot women can perform whenever they want to. Guys have to be able to "get wood." So... you not only need a guy who is willing to make porno... you also need one who can function. One of my best friends is a former top porn star - and the stories she has about guys who couldn't get it up on camera are hillarious. (A lot of times they have to slip $100 to a guy on the crew and use him as a "stunt dick.")

Jennifer makes a interesting comment with this. It makes me think of the things that turn me on most about a woman...and it is not how she looks.

First: a sexy personality. She is comfortable with herself and feels sexy and attractive, but NOT egotistic at all.
Also funny and kind are very important.

For the physcial things, eyes, teeth, and hair are big ones. Odour is also quite important to me. Smell of her hair, and perfume can absoulutely seduce me!

I know women can be visually stimulated. I wasn't saying that women are not visually aroused. They definitely can be...

But I think a female's system of sexual arousal tends to be more complex than a male's.

Men are more easily aroused, more visually oriented, and are sexually more "simple" than women...as a general rule. There will always be exceptions.
