Glad's thread is worn out.....

Maybe he could graciously give us another idiot thread despite meeting his weekly quota.

Discuss.

I'm heading to the vfw for the monthly raffle. If they call my name, I win 10 grand. If I win, I'm flying straight to vegas

Knot theorists are still seeking a straightforward and general method for determining whether two knots are equivalent.

Untangling the Mathematics of Knots

I can attest unequivocally ... they're knot!

You're just lucky your knot doesn't have an odometer on it.

This article should be right up your alley:

Floer homology - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Floer homology is a mathematical tool for analyzing how knots interact with cylindrical structures.

Just sayin'

poor decisions are what put you in situations you call 'bad luck'
bullshit. only some (few) of the times shit happens, it's actually due to a bad decision.

getting my car totaled two years in a row by another person driving towards me head on, and another person speeding many seconds after a red light aren't my fault.

well, apparently the people who hit me think it is. since they both tried to say its my fault after they were cited.

good thing the witness number, in which i provided, actually called them back and confirmed my story.

Now I'm wondering if the "gay speak" I thought I over heard at Cutter's was actually good bros discussing topics of 3-dimensional Euclidean space over a couple of brews

Hey, man, I used to do that pretty frequently, no homo.

Technically,

I told you not to buy that car in the first place.

I'm sure they were just studying gaped toroids and the distortions created via the introduction of semi-curved cylinders.

Wonder if there's an online newsletter I can sign up for to learn more about this knot theory stuff

All you need to know is chronicled about you on the bathroom stall wall at Cutter's.

It's refreshing to see so many EF'ers interested in advanced mathematical concepts.
