Anybody try It?
Msounds like something to try once but really what the hell does it do other than make your dink grow 2 inches.

I've had several sessions, plain acupuncture and acupuncture with needles attached to electrodes. I'd still be going if I could afford it (not really expensive, the doctor I was seeing charged about $60 a session and a session lasted about an hour).

I think it is a very valid therapeutic modality, particularly so if you're into alternative healing (it partners well with chiropractic and massage therapy), can be a great addition to rehab/PT -- my sports med. doctor raves on it -- and for some chronic pain sufferers it's the only thing that helps them (other than heavy drugs) but like anything else, it's all about the practitioner, you want to check their credentials, ideally go to someone who is a master (M.Ac.), especially the first time.

BTW, didn't do nothing to my dink :whatever:

I've been. It's amazing. I'm really not sure how it works but I know I went in there, got pricked and left feeling instantly better on more than one occasion...but I'd also say that also depends on the severity or nature of your problem, just so you don't go in there thinking itd totally cure anything after one session.

Plus those heat lamps feel like heaven to lay under.

The acupuncturist I was seeing for my knees did hot stone massage after the needles, highly recommended!

Regular acupuncture no, but I've done the high-tech version; prolotherapy. I've done that for a pulled trap that wouldn't heal, and it worked great! (NOTE: Don't even THINK about it if you have needle issues) ! What they do, is inject large volumes of saline and glucose into the muscle to deliberately damage it more, in order to stimulate the body to repair it faster. It hurts like F**K while they do it, and it's about 30 injections all close together and all deep (some you can feel the needle hitting bone). But it's worth it if you can take it. Here's a video of a dude getting a similar procedure, but his is in the delt whereas mine was in the trap. Prolotherapy to the Shoulder - YouTube

I was wondering if I should do a massage or acupuncture for a strained neck muscle.

Also I heard it might help with addiction.

Damn Copenhagen Is hard to quit

If it's really bothering you, and it's something you've been wanting to try, a good acupuncturist is going to give you massage therapy in addition to the needles.

Frankly, I'd say go to a hypnotherapist for the Copenhagen. The most difficult part of quitting an addiction isn't the initial stopping, it's the psychological aspects and hypnotherapy can help with that (i.e., shoring up your resolve). I've quit tobacco several times (most people end up quitting three or so times before they really are done with it). It's a head game. You really just have to decide, I'm not going to go buy the shit and get through the cravings.

BTW, most cravings pass in 30 minutes. You just have to get past that 30 minutes. Check this out if you're interested (it's used for alcohol and substance abuse but tobacco is a valid addiction): Mindfulness
