Nope, it's inflamation. When you inject, it slowly goes into the blood stream & LATER drops it's esters. Not possible.

On Fina my arms and delts (where I was injecting) saw more significant growth than the rest of my body.
After I was off for almost 3 months, none of that growth was lost.
I am now on Fina/Prop... and again... my arms are seeing a great surge of growth.
I believe they work... however... maybe not with all compounds.
I am not a scientist... but it worked on me... so to me... that's all the "scientific" proof I need.

It hasn't been scientificly proven that localized growth however in theory it should work for three reasons:
1) It has been proven that the stretch of the fascia in the muscle creates additional space for new muscle to be developed. This is why muscle memory exists , and it is always harder to gain muscle size you have never had compared to gaining muscle size you have had before. The stretch of the fascia takes time and requires hard training to encourage where as if the fascia is already stretched the time required to add muscle in that space is much less.
Based on this the belief is localized injections will cause a stretch of the fascia... which explains why synthol works.
2) Fast acting AS such as prop and winstrol are believed to be acting immediately in the muscle of which it was injected. Because of this behavior the muscle of which you inject in should have an additional benifit of this fast acting steroid.
3) Everyone who has injected locally has confirmed tremendous muscle pumps. It has been proven that the bigger the pump the more blood ( carrying nutrients ) will fill the muscle. Therefore , the belief is that more blood in the muscle leads to faster recovery and eventually more growth. Hence , the bigger pumps help increase the amount of growth for the injected muscle.
Based on this I would say localized growth does exist.

site injections do work. i have had alot of experience with them. the trick is consistancy. repetative shots work. the trick is to use a chemical that has a high affinity for the receptor or a longer lasting ester like deca or test enanthate. people who claim great results from prop or winstrol or susp. are just experiencing temporary inflamation anything that stays is SCAR tissue. not that that ios a bad thing SCAR TISSUE can look great. or it can look like greg valentino.

If oil based site injections worked, then every pro bodybuilder out there would have an ass the size of Montana! Think about it. They use 1000 cc Test a week, maybe more... Thats a whole freaking bottle a week.

Either way, I believe that the stretching of the fascia has something to do with the effectiveness of site injecting oil based gear. I think that injecting gear with no ester (winny/test suspension) is good for actual localized growth of the muscle it is put in. I have no scientific info to back this, it is just what I have observed on myself.
I ran 500mg of testex elmu cyp. in my right quad for 5 weeks and it has been almost 14 weeks since my last injection and my right quad is still over 1" bigger. Alot of you bro's might think that was stupid but i did it to prove a point. right now i am running 1cc of prop/suspension in my left shoulder 2 times a week to see if it gets up to size with the other one.

I have been doing fina site injects in the anterior head of my biceps. My anterior and postirior heads were well in line a couple of weeks ago, now the outer one is markedly bigger so I've stared to inject the interior one to make it catch up.
It's made a believer out of me.
