How to eat when on?

Lift every other day.
I lift to stay in shape.
Currently running Sust/ Eq

I would like for you guys to comment on the various snacks/ meals you rely on throughout the day and/or what types of meals you put down when cycling. I'm mid cycle right now, and was worried about putting on too much weight. I'm on week 5 right now, and haven't gain a pound. Strength has gone up a some, and pumps are out of this world. But no weight gain. Typical day of eating for me is: oatmeal, protien shake, bag of beef jerkey, two single packs of peanuts, chicken sandwich, chicken breast, protien shake.

I think I'm good on protien, but not sure where to get my calories without getting fat. Your comments please.
 
peanuts, shakes, jerky are not gonna grow muscle. you need more whole foods. eat every 2-3 hours. REAL WHOLE foods.

i will give you an example of breakfast for me.

glass of OJ, glass of water. supps
bagel (multi grain top quality)
2 waffles (organic multi grain) with real honey
grassfed beef burger with lots of lettuce on an organic wheat bun.

thats my breakfast alone eaten before 9am

also if you want to gain mass and strength deca/sust cycle is the way to go next time unless you are sensitive to gyno.

i drop easy $40-$50 per day on food. i used to do the whole protein shake thing also (i realize its cheaper to buy a tub for 50 bucks and make protein shakes all day), didn't gain a damn thing that way. switched it over to whole foods and gained like a horse.

besides these protein shakes makes me feel like crap and make me have to shit all the time. while whole foods make me feel good.

Definitely whole foods every 2 to 3 hours. Chicken. Steak. Fish. Pasta. Rice. Etc. I use GEAR from Needtobuildmuscle.com between meals. Much better than protein shakes.3-4 times a day. I would recommend all to use it between meals.
 
That's a big 10-4. I've started avoiding the whole food thing because I hate the gut and love handles which come with it. Probably moved too far in that direction. I'll try mixing in some and see what happens.

I avoided Deca because I like having the ability to make a stiffy. Gotta buddy who had to go get a shot from the doc once a month just to bang his wife. Yikes!
 
Chicken, Fish, Pasta, Sweet potatoes, brown rice, peanut butter, turkey, oatmeal, cottage cheese, cheese, lean red meat is what works for me. Actually I worked on understanding my gains with food before adding anything else.
 
But here's where I have to throw in a, huh? Steve, you said you drop $40-$50 a day in food. I go to Wal-Mart and see broke ass people every day walking around with much larger shoulders than you or I have. No, not the definition, but they don't work out either. However, the mass factor.... they might spend $10 a day on food, and are larger. ?

i used deca 2 cycles and had no problem with the woody, i was more horny on then ever. i ran test with it. it is a solid slow building mass and strength builder with very low sides. but everyone is different i guess, i would throw in 4 weeks of dbol also if you want 'mass'

the people i see at walmart are obese for the most part. they eat so much processed junk and the lowest grade meats that they put on a lot of fat and mass. those few you see are geneticly gifted and if they ate better they would be beasts. i watched hard knocks and chad johnson eats mcdonalds 3X per day, his diet is poor.. yet he is a gifted athlete and fast. but i promise if he would eat better he wouldn't be on the downswing of his career already. other guys like Ricky Williams eat solid diets and he became something like the oldest RB to rush for 1000 yards or something last year. so it makes a huge difference as people get our age what you put into your body.

i get much better workouts when i feel good so i cant imagine eating mcdonalds before the gym, the smell alone will make me feel like crap.
 
man if your mid cycle and havent gained a pound then sytart eating

u should be 5-6 pounds heavier by now

eat eat eat, u dont need to be a genius to know u need to eat more

mayke carbohydates ur friend, if your eatin 200-300 grams of protein a day then thats enough, make the rest of the calorie increase from carbs

carbs are the most anabolic thing you cna eat if your aiming for size

I agree carbs are very underrated.. people always worry about protein but the carbs are a hidden secret for lifters.
 
Eggs are your cheap best friend!!!!!
Sams (wallmart) eggs are just as good/bad as any others and cheap as cen be.
hard boil.
Pickle.
Fry
Added to protein shake
Sandwich

Google egge meals (or something similiar) and you can find a full days worth of uses for eggs.

PS I wouldnt eat more than 12 a day and it may be good to take a break from them so you dont burn out on them.
