Hey guys. I have a big problem with stretch marks. If you had any growth spurts i'm sure you've got some at least. What's the best way to avoid them? and how do I maybe fix them? or make them not so visible?

Please keep in mind that i don't have money to waste for a surgery.

Faulty nutrition is probably your problem. If your body dosen't get the essential nutrients it'll rob from your skin...making the skin less elastic and more likely to tear.

To avoid: Take more vitamins A, D, E, and panthothenic acid.

To minimize the unsightly effects of these rub them with Vitamin E oitment.

You probably already you can't completely get rid of them unless you get surgery but I know you don't want that.

That's right. I think my diet is pretty good, also used the additional vitamins and other stuff like vit.E cremes and I got 'em. I gained 20 lbs at 5'11" in half a year, and there they came. I don't think I could avoid 'em in any way, because my physique is unfavourable for BB. I started with narrow shoulders, tiny hands, legs and neck on low bodyweight, and my skin simply can't follow the pace. Oh, I forgot, no gear. Mylo

Lisa and Mylo are right dude.
If you are lifting seriously and your skin of prone to it then you will get them. I posted the same thread a while ago mine was entitled STRETCH MARKS!!!! by Valdez LOL

Use cheap Vit. E oil and Cocoa Butter cause they will keep the skin softer. but they won't make'm dissappear. I've got marks on my biceps (some even near insertion to the elbow) on my inner quads, upper inside lats, and right below my ass.

Don't sweat it thier there to stay, it sucks. Oh' well. I was so discouraged when I first got them badly I didn't work out for two weeks cause I knew they would just get worse. It sucks, then some Bodybuilders wife at my gym said they don't bother her at all and they are sexy on her husband cause it represents hard work. She was stone serious. Never looked back since that.

ethertek: ""You probably already you can't completely get rid of them unless you get surgery but I know you don't want that.""
Now that makes no sense whatsoever....get surgery to remove stretch marks, which can be dine by cutting that area of skin off that ahs the stretch marks, then, you're left with a scar.....I'll keep my stretch marks, thanks
When I was pregnant with my first child, I got huge FAST (he ended up being a 10lb baby), I got stretch marks right at the front top of my legs from the weight of my huge stomach......I've got some here and there all over my body......ya learn to live with them, no matter how you got them......
I'd say genetics plays more of a role in wheither or not you get stretch marks.....but, I'm sure diet could help you get them.....

if your diet is lacking efa's you will be prone to them good sources are olive canola flax and primrose oils and fish oils. there is a new laser procedure that will get rid of them 100%. it basically burns off all the skin and forces the body to regenerate a whole new skin. the down side though is it takes 6-8 weeks to heal and regrow and you have to be completly inactive. I personally couldnt do that. Its becoming very popular among women to do their face it takes 20 years off their look. But you can never hide the age of your hands.

So i said..."You probably already know you can't completely get rid of them unless you get surgery but I know you don't want that."
