You probably have decent abs and you don't know it.....thus cardio and diet. You can't spot reduce.

if you don't love the handles, you'd better love cardio, cause that's what it takes. Clean up the diet, add 3, 30 minute sessions of cardio per week, and progessively increase and they'll disappear. Keep at the abdominal exercises too.

Cardio does not necessarily work for everyone - depends on what kind of genetics you own. I think cardio sessions (might be 3xweek per 20-30 mins) are good for more endomorphic people (easier mass gainers), while the ectomorfs don't profit much from that. I'd even say that for the average hardgainer strivin' to add as much mass as possible cardio actually works against. So if you gain in bodyweight easily but have trouble with fat, stick to cardio. If you praise every pound of mass you gain, rather try basic movements, very intense exercises a few times a week - In my opinion the compounds (squats, deads, basic presses/pulls) - all with the high metabolism acceleration effect work much better for most - my experience (considering myself an average hardgainer). FlexRich, Spot training won't work because you'll just be gaining muscles underneath fat. Definitely incorporate cardio seesions in your workout. Now come on don't think cardio is for the girlyman because your absolutely wrong if you think that. Trust me on this, do the cardio 3 x a week about 20 to 30 min. I preferably like the stairmaster. Definetly keeps the love handles off and shows of the six pack. Flexing at you.
