I over read a reply where I won't mention any names but someone posted warming up their biceps with 20bb for 15 then 40bb for 10 then 60bb for 8 then etc... etc... I just wanted to better understand this format, In my own personal opinion my warmups would be first 15min. cardio then 5-10 arm stretch then about 65lb.bb for 10times 2, then I would hit the load the guns. This routine is very similars to Skip LaCours bicep routine, Flex on this....

basically that type of warm up routine is best suited for the h.i.t program,where you slowly build up the weight and decrease the reps to avoid going to failure on warmup sets, but still making the muscle work hard.
it wouldnt be good on a volume routine where you pyramid the weight from the first set and work to failure.personally i find the h.i.t way much more effective for preparing my body for the heavy weight i encounter in my workouts.hope that clears things up..
