other than shrugs and up right rows, I'm having trouble finding new excercises that isolate the traps to change up my trap routine because of staleness any suggestions on different exercises. IP: Logged |

One of my favorite trap exercises are lateral dumbell raises. Take the DBs to your hips, palms towrds your body. Then try to raise your arms like you're trying to fly. Don't bend 'em. I love it, but if you don't it's your call. IP: Logged |

On a over head pulley station grab a bar do "reverse shrugs" by pulling your traps down and slowly let the weight back up. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Heavy deadlifts and cleans build the traps big time.Their also good compound excersises which are the best for building overall mass, and have a type of knock-on growth effect on the whole body. -BK, lateral raises done correctly are for the delts, not the traps. IP: Logged |

The best trap exercise for my money is cleans! Like TRIHARD mentioned, this is a compound exercise so it will not totally isolate the traps. But when doing the exercise, bring the bar down slower than when you brought it up. You will deffinately work your traps hard! ----------------------------------------- Train........................(S)mart IP: Logged |

I do shrugs and upright rows on shoulder days, but my traps get a good hit on back day too. Deads will really help build them up. Plus, when doing barbell rows (either reverse or regular grip), you'll often feel your traps really working, especially as your lats tire. ------------------ IP: Logged |
