I hate 'em and I have 'em until I cut down to about 7% bodyfat. Is there any oblique excercise that is really good to get rid of these.

maybe cut down on the oblique exercizes (they tend to look like a love handle when large) and concentrate on some lat pull downs. just my .02.

Hey romeo- Do they seem to be going away? I know if I get lean enough they go away, but I can't stay that lean and put on mass too. I want to be able to stay around 9-10% and NOT have these fucking saddlebags.

Great idea, but I already took the pull down approach and it's helped some. Shit, you should see my lats! I don't brag at all, but my lats are W-I-D-E. I've had to cut the wide grip pulldowns back to once a month to let the thickness of my upper back and lower traps catch up.
Thanks bros-I'm just looking for any more pointers to help even thes love handles out.

As a former fatboy i dispised my "love handles" and the gross disproportion to which body chooses to retain fat in that area. I have since exorcised those adipose demons. My two cents: stay away from oblique work, I am of the opinion that they only serve to widen the waste and distort v-taper

Hey bud, it all boils down to diet and cardio. And yes you can lean down and put on muscle, but that takes research and a whole shit load of disipline. i dont wanna go into that right now. Give this a shot, your current diet is contributing to your current build. Im assuming that your intake of protien and carbs, yes protien can lead to fat, gradually reduce your caloric intake. Not to starve yourself but to institute a change. Your best bet is to incoorporate cardio into your weight training. I dont mean, killer, panting like a dog cardio. 30 minutes in the morning no food.
I also recommend thermogenics, adip kinetics, or xenedrine. They help. 2 weeks on 2 weeks off.

Bro - if you saw me in a tank top you'd never guess. People at the gym ask me how I stay so lean without the cardio.

Xenadrine has been a mainstay - usually for a month at a time. Cardio has not because of the fatigue factor. I'm trying to do just 20-25 minutes 3 times a week. I can do an hour of cardio no problem and that's with my heart rate around 160-165. The problem is the next day I feel dead tired.

Thanks Amp... I'd like to see this thread get trampled with everyone's opinions. That's all you can do is try new ideas.

You have 2 choices if you really want to get rid of that fat. Cardio and diet to even less %bf, or get liposuction. There is another option, to accept that to build muscle you're going to have love handles. All the gear or isolation exercises in the world won't help. Sorry.

I am still suffering with a mild case of the handles, but I've managed to reduce them with diet. Im 16 and the rest of my family is overweight, they buy chips and shit and it was hard for me to stay away from all the high fat snacks. Then I began supplementing a nutricious good tasting sandwich for cookies and crap. Took an inch off in 2 weeks. Try it. It's great if your dicipline sucks.
