I always just do them with shoulders. You hit them hard while doing shoulders so you might as well isolate them then and there.

Either will do, however I prefer shoulders cuz i have more energy left over after shoulders rather then back. Your traps will be worked with both however. See, when you do any kind of rows, you traps are in play, pulldowns..same, lat.raise, front raise also, upright row, they all work the traps in addition to the other back or delt muscles. To isolate however, shrugs and upright rows are best in my book. Shrug high and hold long, straight up and down, with dumbells or barbell, no matter. And dont do that rotating bullshit with your shoulders!

Do what you think works best for you...
I switch from back to shoulders depending on how i feel.

Traps are also a part of your shoulder. When do presses and raises, they get some work and are ready to go after you target your delts. My best results (and they're probably my best bodypart) have been hitting them on shoulder day, but they also get hit pretty good on back day from rows and heavy deads. Whenever you shrug, remember to squeeze at the top!

I prefer to do them when I do shoulders as well. However as stated before, do them when you feel you can train them the best and where they best fit into your routine.

I do back, shoulders and traps together. I think it works great. You already have all the blood up in that region, why not pump the traps?

I do the same thing as hotblood. If you work your shoulders, the traps tend to work themselves naturally. Rowing, BNP and chin ups work all the upper-rear muscles. There are a lot of lifts that have common benefits for muscles.
