I have to share my joy, this may sound corny but some ones gotta do it.

I'm a 17 yr old female, who has been weight traing for about 4 month now, and I just have to say..........I LOVE IT!!!!!

I've always been the athletic type...soccor, boxing, basketball, you name it I'VE done it and loved it(except golf and tennis-just never had the coordination.)

I just have to say nothing has ever felt this great. I remember the 1st time I did squats, I swear I just pushed myself so hard that I just felt this sudden dizzness and call me crazy but I loved that feeling, the ache, the pain, the ........how far can you go???????

What I love about the sport is that, if you have the discipline, the patience, and the passion......the skys the limit. I'm 17 now and I always think to say to myself "you've gotton the opportunity to start at an early age....now it's a matter of how far can you go.....how far WILL you go".

I always wonder, where will I be10 years from now. If I can see such great results in just 4 months, theres no way I'm going any where, I'm made for this.

Any one feel that same passion,I'm sure a lot of you guys have made great acheivements....skys the limit.....thats why my passion is at full speed!!!!!!!!

Yes, I absolutely know how you feel. But for me I never really cared about sports, I
would play football and soccer but my heart wasn't in it. I didn't have any self-
confidence, I didn't believe in myself. I would always say I couldn't do it, and I would usually end up quitting the sport. One day, I just did alot of thinking, wondering where I was gonna go when I got older and what I was going to be. I found that I probably wouldn't go that far if I kept doing what I was doing.
I don't really know how weightlifting came about. I guess I was just tired of how I looked and felt. I was hungry for the knowledge, and I believed I could do it. I didn't even think about quitting, I knew where that took me. I was tired of quitting, I wanted to see what would happen if I went that extra mile.
First time I did squat was hell, but it
was worse the next day. Didn't know we had time tryouts for the 2 mile run, that hurt
alot. To me its more than just getting big and cut. Its so much more, its changed my
whole view in life. I now have something to look forward to in life. Well heres my stats.
I'm 16 5'8 165 lbs. 12% bf. Last yr. I weighed the same, but over 20% bf. Strength gains are through the roof, increased over 100+ on squat, 75+ bench, 50+ calf raise. I believe the best thing about weightlifting and fitness is you determination to achieve that goal, no matter how hard it seems.Last yr. I didn't miss one cardio day, even over the winter, I was still out there on the track 3x a week in -10 deg. weather. People think I'm crazy, it doesn't bother me. Future plans- I want to either be a personal trainer or a dietitian. I love helping people out who are willing to put out whatever it takes to achieve there dreams.Sorry so long.

Yes I know the feeling! When I first started wieghtlifting a few years ago, I thought getting that "pump" feeling was the best god damn thing ever! I would workout for different sports in highschool and I remember some of my good friends saying that I will eventually "burn" out and that I would never be consistent. Well, its been about 4 years now and I still feel that having a good pump is still one of the best feelings! bodybuilding is so much more then lifting heavy weights, its about feeling strong....feeling healthy...and sculpting your body into whatever your idea of perfection is. Thats why im addicted. Like you said...the skys the limit! good luck!

I love to lift weights. For awhile it was all ever thought about, although that has kinda gone away. If I wake up the day after a workout and I'm not sore I'm quite disappointed. The only thing that is really bugging me is that I have been stuck at 160 as my max on bench for well over 4 months now, I don't know why, and it's really annoying. I raise on everything else each week while I only seem to get weaker and weaker and weaker and weaker and weaker, and well you get the point, on bench.
BTW, Espanola rules!
hehehe, g'luck espanola.

At the start of the hockey season for my school we played a team that had a kid that when you tried to hit him, you just bounced off and fell on your ass. I was determined to level him one game, but when I went to hit him the ass got the butt end of his stick into my ribs and cracked them. After training for a while, near the end of the year, we played them again. Not only did I level the kid, but sent his ass 3 feet into the boards clean hit too
