fat in your diet lubricates the joints, you wouldnt let your car drive withot oil would you.
if you think about people talking about gainning fat while building muscle, then its because you then know you get enough to eat to build as much muscle as possible.

Make sure it is polyunsaturated fats or monosaturated fats. These do help joints plus can actully help burn fat. They also have tons of other health benefits. Try to avoid excessive amounts of saturated and trans fats.

thanks guys i understand that it lubracates joints and what not, but is there something in fat that helps with the muscle development? there has to be, because when i first started i thought fat was bad, and went on a fat free diet thinking i would get huge but i got little to no gains , but when i became more educated and started ingesting flax, gains came much quicker. can any one answer this question?

I know you need some fat to build muscle, but how can a guy like Ederin James, on the Colts, be that big and only have 2.5 - 3.0 body fat percentage? Whats he using? I don't think hes shootin juice, but am stumped as to how he does it.

That is a great site on flaxseed oil. I am currently adding 1 tbspn of Bertoli xtra virgin olive oil to 2 of my meals each day. I try to get my allowance before I work out. Surpisingly I have found that I have more energy. Good oils are a great way of getting clean calories into your diet. Some days olive oil comprises about 75% of my total fat intake!
