Hi, I do:
crunches - 3sets - 20 reps
hip elevation - 3 sets - 20 reps
oblique twist - 2 sets - 15 reps
i'm doing it twoce a day, every day

doing think it will be more useful
to do in each excersise instead of 3 sets
and 20 reps.... to do one set - 75 reps?

do u have any suggestions??

The biggest mistake you're making is training your abs every day. Many people believe that you can train abs everyday. Yeah you can train them everyday, but you will be overtraining. You can make good progress by working them once a weeks, but twice is probably better. Abs can be trained more frequent, but I would not train them every day. I would train them 3 times a week at the most. And I don't recommend just doing one set of 75 instead of three sets of 20. If you just do one set of high reps, you're getting more of an aerobic workout and you will not build any muscle mass on your abs. Hope this helps. Happy training.

yes you will get a better burn if you do 75 straight, don't do sets of low reps, do sets of high reps, you have to get a burn for crunches to work, training everyday usually DOES NOT overtrain if you do it right, but only do it 5 times a week, that way you can have a day to rest, I used to do 150 reg, and 100 twists everyday and I NEVER OVERTRAINED, only train once a day though, twicw would be overtraining. on ur sets of regular crunches start off w/ 2 sets of 50, or 2 sets 75, but to get a 6 pac like u want you have to have a strict diet and do lots of cardio

bro, if you can get past 30 you arn't doing them right. slow, very slow. they should be on fire by the time you get to 20 my friend. if they arn't slow down and concentrate. squeeze those mother fu**ers at the top and hold it. then hold the tension on them the whole way back down. never take the tension off them. 3 days a week is plenty. abs normaly won't get sore so you can't tell if you are overtraining them as easily. they too need time to heal and grow.

i did 1000reps of different ab exercises every day for 2 years, and i learned sumthing..thats NOT the way to do it. do CRUNCHES, the RIGHT way, as Beezers say. i squeeze the life outta every single one of them..and i cant go any higher than 15 reps per set. and my abs have never looked better.

going slow with resistence builds mass, but going fast without resistence burns cals and gets cut, remember to diet if you really want your abs to show.

Eagledude, I don't believe you're doing your ab exercises correctly. When you do any type of ab exercise, you want to do each rep slow and squeeze at the end of the rep. Be sure to breathe.

The abdominals are fast-twitch muscles.

That being said, it is clear that doing a million reps of every abdominal exercise 5 times a week is, frankly, wrong. Fast-twitch muscles are better off being worked in the 8-12 rep range with increasing resistence. I wouldn't train the abdominals more than 3 times a week, with at least two days of rest between training sessions.

Think about it, you wouldn't do 100 close-grip bench presses with little or no resistence 4 or 5 times a week to get bigger triceps (another fast-twitch muscle), would you? So why do that for the abdominals if they are fast-twitch muscles as well?

My friend used to do 100+ crunches 4 or 5 times a week. The result? Flat stomach with no definition whatsoever (and he had 7% bodyfat). Then, I told him the correct way to train the abdominals. The result? Etched six-pack in 8 weeks. Thank you, have a nice day.
