The power to endure pain outlives the power to inflict it...the harder the conflict the more glorious the triumph. It is dearness that gives everything its value.

Here is one that requires the use of a swiss ball.Take the swiss ball and place it in front of your head against a wall and press your head into it.Best done standing in a doorway and you can do the side and back of the neck as well.Try it!

If youre lucky enough to have a 4 way neck machine at the gym, then use it. Theyre greeeaat. Or buy a head harness that you strap weights to. They work well also. I,too, want that football looking neck.

Shrugs, partial cleans or upright rows. But be careful - your neck has loads of little muscles that can easily be damaged (especially with a neck sling).

Neck bridges are an excellent movement for an impressive stem. Once a week like any other muscle but use your hands to guide the movement. Neck is a very easy mucle to injure.
