If I do my cardio to intesnly will this shut my fat burning bennifits down. I like to go about 30 minutes a day of high intensity stairs and running.

doing that you would be doing more cardio endurance training. try doing running and stairs at a moderate pace. that'll burn fat. remember: don't overdo the cardio.

I agree with stack.....also, if your daring, put on some sweaters, then you'll sweat of all the fat. But be sure to drink lots of water.

Mix it up.

Your body will get used to the same exercises.

Sprints and plyometrics are good as well. They will get the HR up real nice.

I usually do 30mins on treadmill 3xwk. 7.0mph

I will also "Tae Bo" once or twice/wk. I suck at all of the moves, but I sweat my ass off. And I agree with wearing some extra clothes. You can shed 'em as you need to just so you don't pass out.

Yes, I agree. I've yet to see anyone in a coffin that was flabby. ;-)

stack,
I came across a cardio program earlier today called High-Intensity Interval Training that makes alot of sense. I might give it a try for a couple of weeks to see how my body does on it compared to moderate cardio. Anyways, if interested, check it out at http://www.musclemedia.com/training/hiit.html. The premise of it is that you do a short cardio workout mixing intervals of moderately paced jogging (or cycling, stairs, whatever) with intervals of intense all-out sprints (or cycling, etc.).

I've tried HIIT before and didn't get better results, I actually think it slowed down my recovery and I wasn't upping my poundages in the gym when I was doing so. I just stick with the good ole ECA + moderate cardio as soon as I wake up and wait to eat until an hour afterwards. Have lost 20 pounds and counting with weights climbing slowly but surely!!!!
