I'm 16 and training for ice hockey. I'm trying to accomplish several things by the start of next season. (late september/early october)For my upper body I would like to get broader shoulders, thicker chest, bigger biceps/triceps and forearms, a V-tapered back and stronger abs. Pretty much the whole package. And for my lower body I want to make my legs like "tree trunks". Just lift heavy weights compound movements, and eat a whole lot of food that is high in protein.

Ok, if you want the full meal deal as you described, you going to have to put in time.

First of all your going to need to train 4-5 time a week, 2-3 hours each.

Second, since your doing hockey you don't want to do a too low number of reps. I would keep it around 8-12 max out. That way you getting an all around strength/endurance workout.

Thirdly, and lastly you need to do vary exercises and do lots of sets.

Get lots of sleep, don't drink or party all night, and take a protein shake. By next season you'll be battering guys left and right and you'll be in superior shape.
