if right now i'm trying to build more mass will my abs show less? what way, if there is, can you keep your abs showing fairly well but build up a lot of muscle.

Thats kinda tough. If you're looking to gain mass and size then you gotta eat and eat alot. Sometimes, with some people they will gain a little fat, especially around the waist. Also, if you are looking to gain size then you need to cut the cardio down to a minimum (if you do any) to allow your muscles to absorb everything possible. Dont worry about it, put a little on the midsection, get big, then go for a cut up cycle. It's hard to have both at once.

I agree. Ever seen a bodybuilder in the off season - they've got guts just like everybody else.

If you are looking to gain muscle u have to sacrifice the abs for a while. but dont worry, they will be there when u diet down. as to cardio while gaining mass, i would recommend at least 2 days a week with 3o minutes cardo, to give the heart some exercise as well.
