i'm 15 and i was wondering should when i am lifting should i be doing heavy weight and less reps or light weight and more reps? another person told me i ought to try go for more gains than cuts right now and that sounds reasonable.
any suggestions would be welcome.
thanks.

6-10 sets of 8-12 reps per body part (pyramiding). I would do less sets on arms and calves.

Because of your age, you will soon become a testosterone factory. Aside chemical use, you will make the best gains of your life as a teen. I would suggest that you eat and train for mass, while it's still easy to do so.

Please keep in mind that many of your bones have not yet calcified ...which would imply that you have some inherent vulnerability. Talk to a sports MD and/or the football coach at your school to get a better understanding of things you need to watch out for. A lot of the injuries that can plague your tender young physique might well be permanent.
