I am a 27 year old male who has been lifting regularly for the past two months. I really want to gain some mass but not at the expense of adding fat to my midsection. I really want the six pack but I'm not sure if I can have both. I have a fairly clean diet and work out 4 or 5 times a week. I try to do cardio at least 3 times a week for 30 minutes. Do I need to be doing more cardio??? Thanks for any help!! IP: Logged |

Look at bodybuilders in the off season. They have guts (they don't always look they they do in Flex etc). To gain real size you can't help but put on some body fat. Doing too much cardio will slow down your gains. If you want to look good on the beach you need to cut up a few months before. But for the rest of the year I say you should carry some fat.
