My question is that if you do more incline than flat will you get stronger on your flat bench.

Probably not, but your chest will look much better. A good plan that i do is do incline barbell or dumbell first, then go on to flat bench barbell, but do pauses. in pauses, you let the bar rest for 2 seconds, then press it up. dont let the weight just fall either. get a 2 second negative, and let the bar sit on your chest for 2 seconds, keeping ur body tight, then explode up. its much harder to push weight up when its on a deadstop, so ur regular bench will go up. do inclines first in ur workout 2 times, then do flat bench first on the third. youll see that ur flat bench will go up dramastically.

Yes, your flat bench press poundages will go up, even if you only do incline presses, although not as much (or as fast) as if you were to train with flat presses.

If you want to gain strength on your flat bench press, stick with the flat bench press. Incline presses won't help too much. At least I didn't find so.

A combinatin between both types of exercises is the best way to go. Nobody wants you to do JUST incline, or JUST flat. do 1-2 exercises of each type and you will get good gains.

if you reach a plateu then you might want to change around what type of exercise you do first in your routine..flat or incline.

doing incline is very important f you care about your body being porportioned right. you need those nice 2 lumps on your upper chest, it looks pimped, especially when wearing a beater. i had a friend that just did flat and decline, and his chest lookes like boobs, no joke. a good set of pecs always must include that upper pec extrusion.
