Well, I never using a loading phase. Of course I eat a lot of lean red meats to. I think it vaires to the individual. Try it with out loading and if you dont think you are getting the results you need then increase it. There are a lot of sites in the web with info about creatine. Do a search and see what you can find.

I never get off the loading phase, i take 20gm a day for 7 days then never go lower than 15gm a day, and i usually never stop until i run out then i take a month off or so. Right now i've got 6 kilos so that should last me a while.

I find if i go lower my pumps aren't as good, and at those doses i get pumps almost like i'm on test

I agree w/ E2. I never come of of 20g. Some say this is wasteful, but I feel better at this level. Good Luck.

I'm sorry to burst everyone's bubble, but there is no need to take more than 15-20g of creatine. Even in those amounts, over half is not used by the body and it's pissed away. As for the loading, it depends on how long you take it. If you plan on taking it for 2-4 weeks it's a good idea to load, so you can saturate the muscles as quickly as possible. If you plan on taking it longer than 4 weeks you don't have to. Creatine is shown to last up to 1 month after the last serving.

*I'm not making this stuff up. My colleagues and I have done studies on this type of material. Cycling it would also be a good idea.
