I've had a bad right ankle for some time now, yesterday I forgot my brace for it, but did my workout anyways. It was only upper body, so I thought I'd be OK. Well as luck would have it, I rolled my ankel over and ouch, I sprained it pretty bad. I have to stay off it for 3 days and probably no cardio for 2 weeks. Just when I'm doing so good.
Question is, is there anything I can do to get my cardio in without having to put pressure on my foot. I've thought about it and came up with a blank. Any advice would be appreciated. At least I can still lift and that will keep me happy for the time being.

I HAVE HAD SERIOUS ANKLE INJURIES BEFORE AND COULD STILL USE THE BIKE AT THE GYM. START SLOW USING YOUR UNINJURED LET TO POWER THE BIKE. IT MAY BE WORTH A TRY.

REMEMBER TAKE IT SLOW!!!!

You could also change up your workouts so you get a good cardio workout. ie. Minimize rest time. Do some supersets. Higher reps. Keep moving and keep the heart rate up. Just a thought.

Doing supersets is a great idea if you are able to move from one exercise to the next fairly quickly. Also please remember that a little time off may be depressing, but if you continue to re-injure yourself, your off time will be a lot longer. It is better to completely heal and go full force than risk the chance of never being at full capacity. I ripped a muscle in my abs one time and it was the most painful experience. What hurt even more than that was the fact I could not work my abs for a while. The time off allowed me to heal and come back even stronger. If you can do supersets without injuring your ankle go for it. It will also be a good shock to your workout if you are not used to doing them. You can work more than one body part right after the other, getting in a good musclular and cardiovascular conditioning.

oh heavens! you don't have to do cardio on your feet. hit the local public swimming pool. i'm an expert at this one-foot stuff.
