The last few days I have been very lethargic after coming home from the gym. I do drink a carb drink during my lifting but by the afternoon I am having very intense sugar cravings. I told everyone I was doing much better on cutting sugar last week. This wk is when all the symptoms began. I have increased my protein intake already so I thought I would get these keto strips. What exactly am I looking for when using them? Also when do I use them?

Keto sticks can tell you how far in to ketosis your system is. I always check mine every evening. One I get into a mild state I try to stay there and watch my carbs so I dont pull myself out of the fat burning mode. The way I understand it is the deeper into Ketosis the more fat you are using for energy. So if thats the case go for the dark purple on the sticks but be ready to feel like crap.

Ketone bodies are formed when you are breaking down fat faster than you can use it for energy. Ketones can be used as fuel, but it takes the body time to adapt. A mild state of ketosis is all you need to indicate a fat burning state. Severe ketosis is not a good state to be in and that's why one feels shitty. It is not related to the amount of fat burned.

DNP short circuits mitochondrial ATP production and causes futile cycling of energy producing heat but not ATP. Like T3, it should increase oxidation of all energy substrates (fat, carbs and protein). If you're low in carbs, protein and fat will get oxidized.

I'd use something other than DNP for weight loss however. Much too toxic. I read so many negative threads on the Gade from guys that have used DNP.
