I am happy to report that with the occasional soreness, that i am doing shoulder presses with 85lb dumbbells for 3 sets of 4 reps. I will try for 6 reps in two weeks.

My bench has also inproved since rehab. I was doing 300lbs before surgery, right after surgey i was doing 10lbs on a cybex chest press. I am now pressing 285lbs for my max.
This is a break through for me!

thought that i would share....

Congrats Cap'n - nice to know that our bodies do heal and improve with care. What was the surgery for? What kind of rehab did you do?

Kat is half right. I did get leveled about 6 years ago when i weighted about 152lbs. (If you want to see a picture of what i looked like it's on THE SHADOW'S POST-BEFORE AND AFTER PICS.)

The 300+ guy that freight trained me compressed my shoulder. I had a "stinger" afterwards and wrote it off. Later on i started to feel inpingement in my shoulder (Acromium Clavicular Joint)when i would pronate and supinate my arm.
(You could acutally hear bones scraping against each other.
I went for a partial Clavectomy-where they removed 3/4 of my clavicle and some floating cartilage.
I am doing much better these days and i am still very leary about which exercises that i choose.
Worst part about surgery is that you are never the same emotionally or physically....

Captain -

Are you able to do dips? I've broken my right clavicle twice, the most recent a bad accident mountain biking. The bone is now shorter due to the break and I find dips place undue pressure on the bone and feel very uncomfortable.

Just wondering...
