o.k heres the deal i am a 38 year old guy , look and feel 28 , the problem is the older i get i worry about the age thing when it comes to dating , not that i look for younger ladies, man it is a drag cuz i dont drink, smoke or do drugs so that in it self narrows whom i like to be with and now the AGE thing , its like when do i cross into the DIRTY OLD MAN zone .... aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!! what do you guys think ???? oh ya i have a neice whom i LOVE very very much who is 25 and we have talked about it and she sez i better not date anyone younger than her ,, she sed it with a smile ...... man i love her .... o.k now i am feeling al mushy as well as old ...  ------------------     | ||

Well first of all, if you look and feel 28 years old than you shouldnt have any problem getting a younger girl, if that's what your after...I have seen some good lookin 38 year old men, so dont get worried yet  Look at Mel Gibson (didnt he get People's most sexiest man?) and George Clooney...Advice: dont go lookin for a young girl, try to find someone that shares your same interests and someone u enjoy being with..Hey,maybe your neice can hook you up! | ||

The thing is that it is hard to find someone closer to your age because most of the single population is between the ages of 18-28. Most women wait until after college and after they begin their career to get married, so 25-28 is about the age limit is seems for singles. In other words most of the good ones are already gone. Secondly, the places where you are looking may have a lot to do with it. Nothing wrong with going to clubs to have fun, but don't go shopping there unless you are wanting to join the babysitter's club. Most single women with your maturity are divorced or too hard headed to ever marry and you will not find these people at the clubs. If you are honestly trying to find a mate or even a friend, look in places like the gym, maybe a colleauge at work, or even, yes I will say it here, church. Also remember that true loves comes looking for you when you are least expecting it and quit trying to seek it out. | ||

well, love comes in all forms! My hubby is 34 and i am 24. we have been together since i was 18 and he was 28. we have two kids and are deeply in love! don't worry about age, the woman of your dreams won't care if you are 38, or 28. she'll ove you for you | ||

LUV2WORKOUT, oh i forgot to say i look like Mel Blank , everyone can be a stud or a babe on the net .(thanks Pam ) TEXAS GUNS , i dont go looking in clubs and what not , i am not into the one night stand crap , its funny when guys brage about the one nighters they have , i tell em thay have one nighters cuz they never get a call back for more, nope i am just looking for a girl i can be friends and pals with and then go from there , i have allways started out i the bedroom and then the friendship, thing is i never seemed to get along out of the bedroom as well as i did in , but i will keep trying. BLUEYEDKOWGRL, ya age shouldnt be a factor but its on my mind more and more these days , i think if someone makes you happy it shouldnt matter if there older or younger , hay love and happyness is hard to find , glad you found your life time friend .... best of luck to you . | ||

I agree comepletely that any relationship occurs when you are least expecting it. This does not mean that it does not take some effort on your part to meet people, but if you see something in someone that you like take it from there and don't try to make things happen-let them happen. I understand about meeting the right person though because I am 29 and have never been married. But I look at it this way, I was in a relationship for six years with someone, and there were times that I was lonelier that I had ever been. So if I am supposed to be alone, I will accept that. On the age thing though, be careful about the age difference. That six year relationship was with someone quite a bit older than me. One of the problems we faced was that we loved one another, but we wanted different things in our life because we were at such different stages in our life. Heck, is some way, I still love him and always will, but I have learned that love is not the only thing that keeps a relationship going. People say that age does not matter, but in truth it does. It becomes less of an issue as one gets older, but someone younger than 25, still has a lot of growing to do. Or at least I did. Just thought I would pass on my thoughts. | ||

TEXASAMMS>GURL Thanks for the input, oh and the part about being lonely while you are with someone , you know it , been there done that, the fact my job keeps me on the road (railroad trainmen ) sure as hell doesnt help out , but i will just keep on trying and who knows what i will find , i joke around about it to the lady friends i have , i am everthing a girl does not want , i dont smoke , drink, lie ,cheat , do drugs , hell i am good looking , good body , good job , and hay i even try to be a lover (stud) lol take care and have a great new year !! | ||

I am with you Snoopy on this. The lonliness is the killer. Sometimes it comes to just grabbing the first available person and really screwing things up. This day and time most people go straight to the bedroom and then see if there is a chance for a relationship. And we wonder why these things don't work out. I made a point after my divorce not to date for at least a year. I would devote all my time to my schooling, my job, and my kids. I had to "rediscover" myself and it was great!! I came out in the end able to depend on myself and not needing to depend on a man. Then came Mr. Guns. I had made it a rule when I did start to date to never date anyone who wasn't my friend first. It seems harder to hurt a good friend than a total stranger. Me and mr. Guns had a great relationship and had the funnest times I had ever had.....all without sex. I was upfront with that from the beginning. I was able to weed out alot of losers that way. Now when things go wrong we always fall back on our friendship, not the mind blowing sex we have. Though that is great to fall back on too. When we are 80 and are chasing each other around in our wheel chairs in the nursing home, we will still be best of friends....honest and faithful til the end. I guess what I am saying is develop your friendships first. Then when you finally make it to the bedroom, you will truly have something to share and our relationship can grow even more!!!! Maybe you can find a female train robber!!!! | ||

i kinda like this board ! just got home from fargo on a slow assed grain train, dam i live the life , oh the boyfriend of one of the waitresses (spellcheck)at the hotel hates me , seems he cant stand the fact she likes me and we talk alot (friends) she is cool and i love passing the time with her , well he just hates it and the looks this guy gives me is killer, oh he works there allso , it just kills me to know that this 38 year old man (me) can make a 25 year old guy (him) so uncomfortable , like relax bro , or grow up , well i told her that i am her friend and would understand if she cant sit down and chat with me if its going to such a big deal with the boyfriend , it kinda sucks cuz i love to have girl friends (friends) but so many guys just cant stand to have there girl having a guy as a friend ..... aaaahhhhh!!!!! its like i am trying to get in there pants, em not so , hay i am honist about it , if i am attracted to her i say so , but if she has a boyfriend cool, doesnt mean ya cant be pals ........ i dont know if any of this is making any sence , been up way to long and i am going to bed , alone !!! everyone take care .... snoopy | ||

Hello snoopy. As my mother always said, you can never have too many friends. Lovers are a different matter all together. If you're truly looking for friendship, then the gender of your friends shouldn't matter. If you're secretly looking for a sexual experience with someone of the opposite sex, then this is one of many boards you can check out. But don't hold your breath. I hope you find happiness in whatever you're looking for. If it's a spiritual friendship, then please put me on your list!
