My g/f has very broad shoulders and back. She hates them and she puts bulky muscle on them very easily. She wanted me to ask you guys if you knew of any excersizes to make the back and shoulders look narrower and more feminine.

thanks again
E

Stop working shoulders altogether!
Let them recieve indeirect stimulation.
As for back, if she has put lots of muscle on with an 8-10 reprange, try a higher rep range with lighter weight.
Or switch to something less isolating for the back, like olympic/powerlifting lifts...
Just a thought...

Actually I do have that problem with my shoulders and back also. I used to be a gymnast, strong upper body, but big also. Although they are quite big, I still train them, but go higher reps for more definition rather than size.

I am going to re-phrase: I also have a big back, but I don't mind. It is not really a problem, I just work with it. Thats better

Suggest that she bring up the other body parts to match her back and shoulders and then compete. Why waste good genetics? Old age will take care of her problem soon enough.

Thats what I would do---many women would kill for that---why not bring up the rest of her physique to match her "enormous" back & shoulders!

I keep trying to motivate her to do that... she is an excellent tumbler and I think that if she got in primo shape fitness comps would be a breeze for her. She has awsome genetics... you should see her bi's too ( i think i have a pic of them i can scan). Ultimately as you all know though the decision of what she wants to do is up to her, i dont want to be a dick and push her too hard. She seems to be pushing towards being more "feminine". You know like runway models style. Thats not what i like though, i like fitness muscle She has showed interest in fitness comps though. Bikinimom, if I scan a bi pic and send it to you will you please post it?

thanks

I'm with the later entries here whole heartedly. Women spend way too much time and energy being ashamed of any blessing shy of boobs. If she's got the blessing of genetics in her back and shoulders, then hell I say let 'em shine! In another year or so, her concern will be more appropriately centered on her lagging parts.
