IN MY OPINION YOU HAVE TO DO ONE OR THE OTHER. IF YOU WANT TO SHRED FAT THAN YOU HAVE TO DIET AND DO CARDIO, THERE ARE MANY SUPPS TO HELP YOU SHED FAT, E/C/A WILL HELP YOU A GREAT DEAL IN LOOSING FAT BUT IT ALL DEPENDS ON YOUR DIET AND TRAINING. IF YOU WANT TO BUILD MUSCLE THAN YOU HAVE TO EAT AND TRAIN, GET AT LEAT 1.5 GRAMS OF PROTEIN PER POUND OF BODY WEIGHT AND CREATINE WILL HELP BUT THE WEIGHT YOU GAIN WILL ALL BE WATER. FIND OUT WITCH ONE YOU WANT TO DO AND THEN WE CAN ANSWER YOU QUESTION A LITTLE BETTER. HOPE THIS HELPS A LITTLE. IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER QUESTIONS YOU CAN DROP ME A LINE ANY TIME.

I agree with Mustang. Most newbies have the very same goal. However, you can get stronger and your muscles will become more defined by cutting if you develop and good training programs which includes weights and cardio. Make sure you include sufficient protein. It can be from food, which is great if you can eat enough, or have it also come from mrp's, or just protein powder. That will help you to maintain some muscle but you won't grow too much if you have a lot of fat to lose.

If you give us specifics on your height, weight, fitness level, body fat, and age we can help you more. Try to be clear and specific when you make your goals, and stick to that path. When you get to that goal you can reset your goals again. It's all a process and it does take time. Just work hard and consistently and you'll get there.
